It seems I have been running and working ever since I did Beth’s Riesgraf’s hair and makeup for her Electronic Media Tour.

A few months back I did a shoot with Brandon Witzel, outstanding clothing designer Claire la Faye, very talented hair stylist Kira Pinski, gifted clothing stylist Rebecca Westby, and model Sarah Schroeder.

This week had a fun and unexpected surprise. I got to break up the makeup monotony a bit and was contacted from TNT directly to do hair and makeup on Beth Riesgraf, one of the lead actresses on “Leverage.”

I had fun with this shoot as I got to play and do a little bit more glamorous makeup. I tend to only get to do beauty makeup so I always appreciate the chance to stretch myself and do something new or different.

A couple of weeks ago I had the opportunity to work with Bamboo River Press and Montavilla Sewing Center on their new commercial. Actress Mercedes Rose was the lead and I was delighted to get to know her better.

I was browsing the net a few weeks ago, looking for a designer’s clothes to use that have NOT been used a hundred times over already. I wanted something new… something fresh… something inspired. I love Sarah Seven and her designs but pretty much every makeup artist and photographer has shot her dresses. I didn’t want to be part of the masses.
I saw some of Claire La Faye’s designs and I just had to smile. It was everything I was hoping to find. Her stuff is creative, beautiful, and unique.

The first part of the shoot with Brandon Witzel was with Miss Megan in pointe shoes and a nice dress, we thought we’d dirty her up for 2nd half of the shoot.

I went for a really simple beauty look. Soft and clean. I wanted her face to blend in and accent the rest of the scene, not dominate the shot.
